Dates for 2026 Season:

  • April 10, 2026: The Stonewall Brigade at the Battle of Cedar Mountain. The 2nd, 4th, 5th, 27th, and 33rd Virginia regiments were heavily engaged (well … maybe not the 27th so much) during the battle. Join us for a tour that will follow in their footsteps to better understand their role in the Confederate victory.

  • May 29, 2026: Samuel Crawford’s brigade at Cedar Mountain. Crawford’s brigade made the furthest advance into the Confederate defenses and nearly routed Stonewall Jackson’s troops from the field. We’re going to trace their steps to better understand how their assault almost succeeded.

  • June 20, 2026: Culpeper Citizens during the Battle of Cedar Mountain. Cedar Mountain was the largest battle fought in Culpeper County during the American Civil War and left a severe impression on the local populace. Follow in the footsteps of Confederate units raised in Culpeper County, citizens who witnessed the battle, and Culpeper natives who led their men into battle.

  • September 25, 2026: The Road to Cedar Mountain. From the Battle of Orange Courthouse to Jackson’s encampment on the night of August 8, 1862, we’ll trace the key events leading up to the Battle of Cedar Mountain. Beginning in Orange, we’ll recount one of the few instance of urban combat during the American Civil War before moving on to WarCraft Brewery where Confederate soldiers encamped before advancing toward Culpeper.
